The Heritage Centre is owned by Badan Warisan Malaysia or the Heritage of Malaysia Trust which promotes conservation and preservation of the nation's heritage buildings. This centre offers an insight into Malaysia's build heritage through exhibitions and seminars.

Within its grounds is the Rumah Penghulu Abu Seman, a fine example of a traditional Malay house. Originally the residence of a local headman, it was restored and transported from the nortern state of Kedah. The house showcases intricate carvings, as well as furniture and artefacts dating back to 1930.

The Resource Centre collection consists of books, periodicals, conference papers, newspaper articles, measured drawings, Badan Warisan Malaysia publications as well as slides and photographs covering a range of topics a such as:

    * Heritage buildings
    * Traditional architecture
    * Architectural heritage conservation
    * Architectural styles
    * Conservation methods
    * Conservation materials
    * Conservation guidelines
    * History

While this collection focusses on the built heritage of Malaysia, also available are publications and reports from the Southeast Asian region, other heritage trusts as well as materials on world heritage and conservation issues. These range from reports on research projects surveys, to policy analysis documets on a variety of conservation issues
