This is one of the best ways to soak in the atmosphere of the Malaysian rainforest. For those short of time, spend a day out on the boat and treks around the wildlife salt-licks. Key Tips A visit here is only for the rugged intrepid adventurer. Hire an experienced guide and a permit is required from the Kedah State Forestry Department to go in. The forestry deparment can help arrange boats and an authorised guide for you. Entry into the area requires much planning - mental alertness and physical form is important. How to get there By Road Via the North-South Highway (PLUS), taking the exit at Gurun. Follow the trunk road to Sik town, then north towards Gulau followed by Gubir and find the signs to Pedu Lake.
